Weapon Breaker was recently changed to not cause weapon degradation for fun purposes, leaving only its niche use to explode grenades. I propose that the skill be changed again so that instead of decreasing weapon quality/destroying weapons, it inflicts a status effect that causes weapons to act as one quality condition lower than normal (improvised weapons get a 10% to-hit reduction). Multiple uses stack concurrently, up to the point where weapons would be considered "destroyed". Additionally, instead of being an activated skill, it's now a charged attack that costs 6 MP. Grenade explosion chances now raised to 33%, but unable to be boosted, since a guarantee of such massive unsoakable damage is pretty overpowered anyway.

To better represent the effect of the skill, perhaps it should be renamed to something like "Disarming Blow" instead, since the weapons aren't actually being broken.

I think you might be mistaken, Weapon Breaker just can't destroy improvised weapons.

However I do think weapon breaker should be changed. The skill is very underrated in faction warfare for busting up the weapons of your opponents to delay their recap or retaliation raid. However the capability to destroy a weapon forever is incredibly punishing and with rare weapons, could literally drive someone out of the game.

Also the grenade aspect is really not that powerful, I cleared my inventory and let someone give me grenades to weapon break and I was only taking like 20-30 damage a pop. I know it's unsoakable, but honestly unless it's a big tank the skill doesn't seem to have a lot of utility for damage either.

I propose the following changes:
*Increase weapon breaker's chances to decay items by some % (6mp 100% like DB as Lagn proposes seems fine)
*Weapon breaker can't drop an item below Broken, so even with a death decay, a character has a chance to repair their stuff
*Weapon breaker ignores broken items and improvised items when determining a target
*Grenades are considered weight 4 when determining a target
*Give weapon breaker a unique kill message when a grenade is destroyed <--- Very important
