OK! So, we all know that swim halves the AP cost of moving through the Crystal Grotto. We also know that flight, as one would expect, has no effect in this underwater plane.
My question is: what about the other non-flight travel skills?
  • Way of Lightning: In this skill's original incarnation, it allowed the ES to run across the surface of the water for 1/2 AP movement. In Bobwar, it requires swim for water movement, and thus could be interpreted as the ES simply swimming really fast. Conclusion: WoL + Swim = 1/2 AP movement underwater?

  • Twisted Leap: Should not work underwater, with or without swim. Why? Because there are no jumping fish, silly.

  • Shadow/Animus of the Wolf: Similar to WoL. The Revenant gains the speed boost by turning into a super-strong wolf/wolfman. S/AotW + swim = 1/2 AP movement on surface water tiles, so it should provide the same bonus underwater.

  • Cloak of the Tornado: Could go either way, really. Granted, there's going to be more resistance to a jet of air traveling underwater as opposed to across the surface of it.

  • Ether Stepping + Tattoo of the Wandering Way: Neither should be impeded by underwater conditions.


Well, that about does it. Agree/Disagree? I'm really just looking for some sort of official word so we know what is or isn't a bug.
