We never found a way to ensure it'd not be used to grief although, so it was tabled.

Perhaps it would only apply when setting up a faction within x squares of another, encouraging the takedown of the nearby stronghold before setting up so as to incur no penalty. Neat territory wars.

I really like this idea, but unfortunately you can't take down theirs without setting up yours first. Maybe an overhaul of how factions and raiding work fundamentally would be good though, nothing drastic, but playing about with the mechanics of it a bit could make things far more interesting.

Yes, so you would have to first set up somewhere else and prepare for the raid and move, means more planning.

Under current rules you'd have to then also hire another faction to raid you so you can recap to set or you'd be hit by the 24 hour revocation thing, it really wouldn't be feasible without additional changes somewhere in the system.

Other option is have an ally/friend/mercenary take the flag of your enemy, then you just set up shop on the tile (assuming you revoked at least 24 hours prior).

That, or you can just set up shop in their spot to prevent them from returning.

Ah yes, oversight on my part.
